Spay/Neuter Information - Income Qualified

Scheduling Your Pet For Spay or Neuter Surgery

How do I know if I meet the requirements for the income qualified pricing?

If you receive any government assistance (Medicare, Medicaid, EBT, etc.) then you qualify!

Age and size requirements: All pets that we spay or neuter must be between 16 weeks and 8 years of age and weigh at least 3 lbs.  Pets between 9-12 years old need to schedule an examination with our veterinarian before scheduling surgery to be sure that we feel they are healthy enough for the procedure.  We do not offer surgery for pets older than 12 years of age.

For pets who are 7+ years old pre-surgery bloodwork is requiredFor pets 6 years old or younger, pre-surgery bloodwork is still available but not a requirement. Pricing for bloodwork varies by type and weight of your pet. See below or call for more information.

To schedule an appointment, call us at (402)473-5370 or Click Here! If you need further assistance with the cost of spay/neuter, you may be eligible for Lincoln Animal Ambassadors Spay/Neuter Assistance Program

Deposit required: Because of a high number of no shows, all surgery reservations require a non-refundable deposit of $50. This deposit is applied to the cost of your services.  An appointment may be rescheduled once with at least 72 hours notice.

A rabies vaccination is required for any spay/neuter appointments at Stransky Veterinary Center. If your pet already has a current rabies vaccination, you must provide proof of vaccination at the time of your appointment. If your pet is not current on their rabies vaccination, or you cannot provide proof of vaccination, we will administer the rabies vaccine during surgery.
